Description:

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) is seeking a committed Christian who loves music and will find delight in leading God’s people in worship.  Trinity appreciates the liturgical traditions of the past and looks forward to expanding them into the future using the hymnal Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

The individual selected for this position must know or be willing to learn Lutheran theology, liturgical practice and the use of music in worship.  We require demonstrated skill and competency in playing the organ and piano sufficient to play hymns, liturgy, and anthem accompaniments.  Experience is also needed in directing choirs.  The individual should possess the ability to sing and play with accurate pitch and rhythm.  We also would like applicants with the ability to expand the congregation’s musical repertoire.  And finally, the individual must be able to work well with others and participate collegially with staff members, congregational leaders, and pastor.

Number of Services:                 1 per week

Weekly Rehearsals:                  1 mid-week rehearsal with adult choir 

Time Type:                               Part-Time

Hours:                                      15 hours per week

Organ Description:                    1932 Estey 11/12, updated in 1999 with full MIDI

                                                implementation and sound module. 

Annual Salary:              $13,000 - $17,000

Continuing Education:   1 Sunday and $300 in expense reimbursement per year

Weeks of Paid Leave:               4 Weeks
